Evonik has expanded its ultra-low emission portfolio with Ancamine® 2873, designed to enable fast curing in low-temperature conditions for protective and marine coating applications

Evonik has launched Ancamine® 2873, an ultra-low-emission epoxy curing agent designed for fast curing in winter conditions, along with true ultra-high-solids performance and strong corrosion protection for protective and marine coatings. The product is developed to improve productivity in cold weather and performs reliably at temperatures as low as 5°C.

With its low viscosity and high reactivity, Ancamine® 2873 supports easier spray application, smooth film formation, and quick property build-up even in cold and humid environments. These characteristics help ensure consistent coating quality during winter, when harsh conditions often delay or disrupt maintenance activities.

Ancamine® 2873 also delivers strong early resistance to water, excellent adhesion even on lightly prepared surfaces, and an extended pot life, offering applicators greater flexibility under a wide range of field conditions.
