Gulbrandsen, a global leader in specialty polyethylene waxes and polymers, has announced plans to expand its polyethylene wax production capacity and build a new functional polymers plant at its Dahej, India facility.

Set to begin operations by mid-2026, this expansion will enable Gulbrandsen to boost its production of specialty polymers and waxes, meeting the increasing global demand, ensuring reliable supply, and expanding its product offerings.

These specialty polymers and waxes are key components in essential materials used in daily life, with applications in products such as expanded polystyrene (EPS), mold release agents, personal care and cosmetics, adhesives, inks, and coatings.

“This investment underscores our commitment to serving our customers worldwide,” said Ron Hatchell, Global Business Director at Gulbrandsen. “By expanding our production capacity and diversifying our product offerings, we are strengthening our ability to meet evolving customer needs and solidifying our leadership position in the industry.”

Alongside this significant expansion, Gulbrandsen has recently completed upgrades at its existing wax plant in Vadodara, increasing its production capacity.

The new Dahej facilities will feature cutting-edge technology and meet the highest safety and environmental standards, demonstrating Gulbrandsen's commitment to responsible and sustainable manufacturing practices.
