Sika Completes Acquisition of Akkim, Accelerating Global Expansion in Adhesives and Sealants

Sika has completed its acquisition of Akkim, a leading Türkiye-based global manufacturer of adhesives and sealants. The deal strengthens Sika’s market position and creates significant growth opportunities by expanding its geographic presence, distribution network, and manufacturing capacity.

Akkim is a fast-growing company that recorded net sales of approximately CHF 220 million in 2025. It serves a diverse customer base through a well-established distribution network spanning the high-growth markets of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Supported by a strong R&D team, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of adhesives and sealants based on proprietary formulations for various construction applications and technologies. Its expanded production capacity will also create an efficient manufacturing and export hub, supporting long-term growth in the adhesives and sealants segment.
