Sika has acquired Duproof, a Dubai-based manufacturer of waterproofing membranes. The acquisition strengthens Sika’s presence in the UAE’s growing construction market and expands its locally sourced product offering for regional projects.

Duproof produces a broad range of bituminous waterproofing membranes used in major construction projects across the UAE. Its brand is well recognised by contractors and applicators. The company’s efficient, strategically located production facility is expected to create manufacturing and distribution synergies for Sika.

Key Benefits of the Acquisition

• Expanding the Product Offering for Major Projects: Sika will build on its established position in the UAE by incorporating Duproof’s bituminous membranes into specifications for major projects. Its strong sales team and customer network will support this effort. As waterproofing is essential to infrastructure, commercial and residential construction, locally produced membranes will help Sika expand its market share across these segments.
