Stahl Opens Customer Center of Excellence in León, Mexico

Stahl, a global leader in speciality coatings for flexible materials, has officially opened its upgraded Centre of Excellence for Leather Finishing and Performance Coatings in León, Mexico. The new facility features cutting-edge offices, application labs, and testing capabilities, underscoring Stahl’s commitment to providing advanced, lower-impact solutions closer to its customers throughout Latin America.

This strategic investment builds on a series of recent expansions, including a capacity doubling in China, a new production site in Ranipet, India, a Centre of Excellence in Apex, USA, a new laboratory in Japan, and a PUD facility in Singapore. The upgraded León Centre, now significantly larger than its predecessor, delivers a more comprehensive customer experience—ranging from multi-substrate design support and application development to advanced testing and training services.

The León facility is part of Stahl’s global network, which includes over 30 application laboratories, 10 Centres of Excellence, and 15 manufacturing sites. It plays a key role in developing high-performance coatings and finishes for a range of industries, including footwear, apparel, automotive, and home interiors.
