Specialty chemicals manufacturer Vipul Organics Ltd has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Switzerland-based Omya Group to strengthen its presence in the European market. Under the agreement, Omya will have exclusive rights to distribute Vipul Organics’ SunTone® and SunCoat® pigment dispersions and powders across most European countries, including the United Kingdom, Norway, and several Balkan nations, while Switzerland and Poland are excluded from the arrangement.

According to a regulatory filing, the partnership forms an important part of Vipul Organics’ global expansion strategy. Managing Director Vipul P. Shah said the collaboration with Omya is expected to enhance the company’s international footprint and support growth over the next five years.

Founded in 1884, Omya operates more than 160 plants in 50 countries and employs around 9,000 people. The company also maintains an extensive distribution network with over 170 locations and regional warehouses and laboratories across Europe.

Vipul Organics’ SunTone® pigments are used in paints, inks, plastics, textiles, rubber, and automotive coatings, while its SunCoat® range serves decorative coatings, paper coatings, detergents, and shoe polish applications. The Maharashtra-based company, which operates three manufacturing facilities and exports to more than 50 countries, said the partnership will provide European customers with local technical support and improved access to its pigment portfolio.
