WEG Coatings Argentina Transitions to 100% Renewable Energy Through Partnership with 360Energy

WEG, a global technology and industrial solutions company, has reinforced its commitment to sustainability through a renewable energy agreement between its coatings business in Argentina, WEG Coatings, and 360Energy, a solar power generation company.

Under the agreement, WEG Coatings has transitioned to using 100% clean energy in its production processes. The electricity generated from 360Energy’s photovoltaic solar parks will help reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing operations and support industrial decarbonisation. The initiative also aligns with WEG’s broader sustainability strategy to expand the use of renewable energy across its operations.

Solar Energy and Industrial Sustainability

360Energy specialises in generating electricity exclusively from renewable sources, using advanced technologies to deliver clean energy at scale. Through its photovoltaic solar power plants, the company contributes to the energy transition while helping industrial partners adopt more sustainable operating practices.

The renewable energy supplied to WEG Coatings is expected to help avoid approximately 223 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. The initiative further strengthens the company’s sustainability efforts and supports broader global objectives to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate the transition to cleaner and more efficient industrial operations.
