WEG inaugurates a new coating production facility and expands its U.S. distribution network with two new centers.

WEG has announced new investments in the United States as part of its expansion strategy for the North American coatings market, enhancing its ability to serve local customers with a broader portfolio of high-performance industrial coating solutions.

The expansion includes the launch of a new coating manufacturing facility and distribution centre in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, as well as a new coating distribution centre in Duluth, Georgia.

The Manitowoc facility will focus on producing Heresite Protective Coatings technologies. In 2025, WEG acquired Heresite, a North American specialist in industrial coatings designed for harsh environments. This move strengthens WEG’s coatings business by integrating advanced, high-value solutions for demanding applications such as HVAC, oil & gas, and water treatment, while further enhancing the company’s position in technically demanding market segments.

Further strengthening its industrial expansion, WEG’s new distribution centre in Duluth, Georgia, enhances the logistics capabilities of the company’s coatings unit in the United States. The facility is expected to improve product availability, reduce delivery lead times, and increase proximity to major customer markets. Serving as a strategic distribution hub, the new centre will support the supply of industrial coatings, anti-corrosive coatings, and solutions for high-demand applications, reinforcing WEG’s commercial growth strategy across the U.S. market.
