Azelis has expanded its presence in Switzerland through the acquisition of Distona AG.

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the speciality chemicals and food ingredients industry, has acquired 100% of the shares of Distona AG (“Distona”), a Swiss-based distributor of industrial chemicals.

• This acquisition will provide customers with access to a broader, innovative product portfolio, backed by Azelis’ strong principal partnerships and the expertise of a highly experienced local team.

• Through this transaction, Azelis strengthens its position in Switzerland by enlarging its sales force, expanding its customer network, diversifying its product offering, and creating synergies across the combined operations.

Established in 2014, Distona has become a reliable partner in the Swiss market, serving over 150 customers across the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers), AM&A (Advanced Materials & Additives), and Lubricants & Metalworking Fluids sectors.

Based in Rapperswil-Jona, near Zurich, Distona’s location and complementary expertise make it a valuable addition to the Azelis group, strengthening access to the Swiss industrial chemicals market. The company is supported by a dedicated team of six professionals, including three seasoned sales specialists, who bring deep market knowledge and strong customer relationships.
