Brenntag Pharma Enters into Strategic Partnership with Evonik

Brenntag, a global leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has announced a new strategic partnership with Evonik REXIM® to distribute its GMP-grade amino acids across the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets in Europe, effective July 1, 2026. The agreement covers most European markets, including the DACH region, the UK, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Israel and Turkey, while excluding Italy, Ukraine, the Middle East, and Africa.

Amino acids are essential building blocks of proteins and play a vital role in numerous biochemical and metabolic processes. REXIM® offers a range of highly purified natural and non-natural amino acids and their derivatives, which are tailored for regulated applications. These products are widely used as key ingredients in medical nutrition, pharmaceutical APIs and excipients, and as reliable nutrients for cell culture media in biopharmaceutical production.

Evonik REXIM is a leading supplier of high-quality amino acids, with a significant portion of its production supported by European-based supply sources. The company combines expertise in fermentation, bioconversion, and synthetic manufacturing technologies.
