Brenntag strengthens its reach and technology portfolio in Material Science with the acquisition of Lawrence Industries in the UK

Brenntag, the market leader in chemical and ingredient distribution, announced the purchase of Lawrence Industries Ltd., the UK's top independent specialty distributor. This acquisition strengthens the company's position in Material Science as well as the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers (CASE), Construction, Polymer, and Rubber industries, as it adds a broad eco-system of leading toptier supply partners and a high-quality portfolio, with a focus on driving market needs for formulation solutions and a leading sustainability footprint.

Lawrence Industries, founded more than 50 years ago, is a technically oriented independent specialty chemicals distribution firm headquartered in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The firm services a wide variety of markets in the United Kingdom and Ireland, providing high-quality additives, minerals, and catalysts. In 2023, the firms earned around 30 million GBP in revenue.
