Caldic and Wanhua Chemical Partner to Expand Waterborne Coatings in the Nordics

Caldic, a global distributor and development partner for ingredients and speciality chemicals, has announced a new partnership with Wanhua Chemical in the Nordic region.

Through the partnership, Caldic will supply Wanhua Chemical’s waterborne resin technologies and complementary additives to customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The offering will be backed by Caldic’s local commercial expertise and European formulation and application capabilities.

Wanhua Chemical has established a strong presence in its domestic market and is expanding internationally through ongoing investment in technology, application development and global supply capabilities. Its waterborne portfolio supports coatings and CASE customers seeking high performance, lower-VOC formulations, more sustainable solutions and reliable supply.

The partnership combines Wanhua Chemical’s technology platform with Caldic’s Nordic market knowledge, customer relationships and technical expertise. It will support customers across architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives, sealants and construction applications.

The Nordics are among Europe's most demanding markets when it comes to sustainability, regulatory requirements and technical performance. A key part of the partnership is Caldic’s Ingrentia platform in Barcelona, located near Wanhua Chemical’s European R&D activities. Through Ingrentia, Caldic offers formulation development and application expertise, as well as customised product solutions for customers whose needs are not fully met by standard technologies.
