Jotun Sets AED 400 Million Investment for New Phase in Abu Dhabi Operations

Since becoming the first international paint manufacturer in Abu Dhabi, Jotun has grown into a trusted partner for major projects across the energy, architectural, and residential sectors. Over the past 30 years, Jotun’s paints and coatings have become an integral part of Abu Dhabi, protecting critical infrastructure, defining the aesthetics of iconic buildings, and supporting the development of communities across the emirate.

Some of Jotun’s notable projects in Abu Dhabi include the iconic Abu Dhabi International Airport, Capital Tower, Aldar Headquarters, ADNOC Tower, ADNEC Tower, and the Al Raha Gardens Community, among many others. Through pioneering innovations—such as the Multicolour concept, easy-clean and anti-dust interior and exterior paints, and early sustainability-driven initiatives—Jotun has played a key role in elevating the standards of color, durability, and design across the emirate, further strengthening its connection with the people and institutions driving Abu Dhabi’s growth.

Jotun Abu Dhabi’s 30-year celebration reflects a shared ambition for innovation, highlighting the company’s commitment to the emirate’s vision—not only by protecting iconic buildings and infrastructure but also by enhancing the beauty of homes and communities.

As part of this commitment, Jotun is investing nearly AED 400 million to develop a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at ICAD–III in Abu Dhabi. This significant upgrade will expand the factory’s production capacity to nearly 60 million liters annually—a 50% increase—while incorporating advanced automation, digital systems, and smart manufacturing technologies to improve precision, consistency, sustainability, and overall efficiency. By integrating these technologies at every stage of production, Jotun is strengthening its ability to meet growing market demand while upholding the highest standards of quality and performance, reinforcing its position as a forward-thinking and reliable partner in Abu Dhabi’s ongoing development.
