Rakem Group Announces Partnership with Organik Kimya

Rakem Group, guided by its philosophy of people, planet, profit, and partnership, has renewed its decade-long distribution partnership with Turkey-based Organik Kimya.

Under the renewed agreement, the chemical manufacturer and distributor will supply water-based polymer emulsions through its Bury facility, which are used in applications such as coatings, textiles, and adhesives.

Supporting Rakem Group’s commitment to sustainability, shorter supply chains, and the transition from solvent-based to water-based products, the agreement continues its partnership with a global leader in emulsions.

Organik Kimya, known for its focus on low-carbon innovation, has been a pioneer in adopting renewable electricity and sustainable manufacturing practices in Europe. In 2017, the company switched its entire Rotterdam facility to certified renewable energy and is currently developing one of the largest land-based solar investments in Turkey.

Through technical support and formulation expertise, Rakem Group will continue assisting UK manufacturers in transitioning to more sustainable products by ensuring they select the most suitable materials for their specific applications.

The partnership follows Maker Industrial, the group's liquid and powder coatings manufacturing arm, receiving the EcoVadis Gold rating, placing it among the top five per cent of companies globally for environmental, sustainability, and social performance. In addition, Organik Kimya has also been awarded EcoVadis Gold, highlighting its strong commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices across its operations.
