RPM Acquires Volteco to Strengthen Its Construction Solutions Portfolio

RPM International Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Volteco S.p.A., a leading Italian supplier of below-grade waterproofing solutions. The acquisition will add Volteco’s differentiated technology platform to RPM’s Tremco Construction Products Group (Tremco CPG).

Headquartered in Ponzano Veneto, Italy, Volteco specialises in advanced waterproofing technologies and generated sales of €28 million in 2025. The company is best known for its Amphibia™ waterproofing sheet membrane and also offers bagged powder products for patching and repair, along with flexible liquid systems, mortars, resins and damp-proofing materials.

Volteco’s advanced waterproofing solutions have been used in several major projects, ranging from the preservation of historic landmarks in Venice to the construction of modern facilities such as Milan’s Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena, a key venue for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Other notable projects include waterproofing an underground tunnel linking the Abruzzo Regional Citadel with the L’Aquila bus terminal, which provides intercity connections to more than 22 Italian cities, including Rome and Naples. Volteco’s solutions were also used to protect the structural integrity of Y-40, the world’s deepest thermal pool.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
