With its new office and warehouse facility in Dubai, Siegwerk is enhancing its support for the Middle East packaging industry by combining improved logistical efficiency with cutting-edge eco-friendly ink technologies.

Siegwerk, a leading global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging and labels, has announced the opening of a new site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, further reinforcing its presence in the Middle East. The new facility, which includes both office space and a warehouse, will enable Siegwerk to enhance service proximity and logistical efficiency—ensuring quicker delivery times and improved support for customers across the region. This expansion reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its global footprint and staying close to its customers to better address local market demands.

“As demand for high-performance and sustainable packaging solutions continues to grow in the Middle East, we are excited to establish a stronger local presence through our new site in Dubai now,” says Stefan Rosenberg, Head of Sales of the Business Unit Narrow Web at Siegwerk. “The investment allows us to be closer to our customers, provide faster and more flexible support, and offer solutions that help them meet ever-changing regulatory and sustainability requirements. This includes, for example, our advanced LED Dual Cure ink technology, which enables packaging printers to switch to more eco-friendly production processes without compromising on performance.”

For decades, Siegwerk has been at the forefront of developing UV and LED-curing solutions, resulting in a comprehensive portfolio of advanced inks and coatings that are continuously refined to align with evolving market demands, such as new raw materials and the growing capabilities of LED/UV lamp technologies. Among its innovative offerings is the SICURA Nutriflex LEDTec series—a low migration UV Flexo ink designed for use in primary food, pharmaceutical, and hygiene packaging. For standard applications like pressure-sensitive labels (PSL) and sleeves, Siegwerk provides the versatile SICURA Flex Dual Cure, which is compatible with both LED and UV arc lamp curing. Both ink systems meet the latest regulatory requirements, including compliance with the German Ink Ordinance (SICURA Nutriflex LEDTec), and offer key environmental advantages, such as reduced energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions, and enhanced recyclability of printed materials. These innovations highlight Siegwerk’s strong commitment to developing future-ready printing inks and coatings that support safe, compliant, and sustainable packaging production.

“Our Dual Cure solutions are perfectly suited for the needs of packaging printers in the Middle East, where sustainability and compliance with international and local regulations are becoming increasingly important,” adds Rosenberg. “With our local experts and new infrastructure, we are ideally positioned to support customers in their transition to LED curing as future-ready printing technology.” With potential electricity savings of up to 50%, LED is becoming an increasingly attractive alternative for printers, not least due to the recent high and volatile energy costs.

The expansion into Dubai represents a strategic step in Siegwerk’s broader global strategy to invest in high-potential growth markets and drive sustainable innovation across the packaging value chain. The company remains committed to working closely with partners and customers around the world to co-develop solutions that effectively balance economic goals with environmental responsibility.
