Surventis has partnered with WorldSkills International as a Global Industry Partner and Silver Partner of the 48th WorldSkills Competition, scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China, from September 22–27, 2026. Through its Glasurit® automotive refinish brand, the company will provide training, technical expertise and industry knowledge to help develop the next generation of automotive refinish professionals.

As part of the preparation programme, Surventis will provide finalists and WorldSkills experts with training through its global Refinish Competence Centers, digital learning modules and Refinity® webinars. Participants from more than 20 countries will train on Glasurit® 100 Line, the company's waterborne coating system, focusing on colour management, application processes, productivity and sustainable repair practices. Industry partners, including SATA and 3M, will also contribute technologies and technical expertise to the programme.

“Tomorrow’s refinish professionals need more than technical excellence. They must be able to work efficiently, embrace digital tools and contribute to more sustainable repair processes,” said Steve Arndt, Executive Vice President Refinish Coatings at Surventis. “Through WorldSkills and Glasurit’s training ecosystem, we help young talent develop these capabilities and prepare for successful careers in our industry. By investing in skills development today, we are helping shape the future workforce of automotive refinishing.”

“Preparing young people for the future of work requires more than teaching technical skills alone. It demands exposure to the technologies that are transforming industries,” said David Hoey, CEO of WorldSkills International. “Glasurit’s continued support of WorldSkills reflects a shared commitment to developing world-class talent through innovation, combining industry-leading technical know-how with AI and digital tools that enhance learning, performance and career readiness. Their contribution is helping shape a new generation of skilled professionals ready to lead the automotive refinish industry into the future.”

Surventis is also supporting the Sustainable Practice Excellence Award, which recognizes participants who demonstrate strong technical skills while following efficient and sustainable working practices.
