WEG has introduced a new low-temperature curing powder coating designed for industrial applications that require strong technical performance along with reduced energy consumption and greater processing flexibility. The coating can cure at lower temperatures—110–140°C compared to conventional curing ranges of 160–200°C—allowing use on heat-sensitive substrates such as plastics, composites, and other specialty materials.
Lower curing temperatures help improve energy efficiency in production processes, offering the potential to reduce energy consumption in industrial coating lines. Additionally, as a powder coating free from volatile solvents, the solution supports reduced emissions of polluting gases and aligns with sustainability initiatives across various industrial sectors.
The low-temperature curing technology also helps overcome thermal limitations that previously restricted powder coatings to high-heat-resistant metal substrates, enabling broader application across diverse materials while maintaining technical performance.
With this development, WEG strengthens its focus on innovation, quality, and advanced coating solutions that support evolving industrial requirements while balancing performance, sustainability, and reliability.
