Huntsman Opens New Innovation Center in Tienen, Belgium

Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) officially inaugurated a new innovation center on June 13th 2024, in Tienen, Belgium, enhancing its research and development (R&D) capabilities and reaffirming its dedication to customers in the region.

This 11,000-square-meter facility features a world-class analytical laboratory, two machine halls, and fully automated product testing areas. These resources enable Huntsman to manage the entire product innovation process, from initial lab-scale ideas to the production of new systems and samples for customer trials.

The center houses over 100 scientists from Huntsman's Polyurethanes and Performance Products divisions, supporting the application of Huntsman technologies in key markets such as adhesives, coatings and sealants, automotive, elastomers, energy, furniture and bedding, and insulation.

The inauguration event saw the participation of more than 100 customers, suppliers, the mayor of Tienen, and business partners. The event featured presentations by Huntsman’s Chairman and CEO, Peter Huntsman, and Tony Hankins, President of the Polyurethanes division. Attendees also enjoyed a tour of the facility, live R&D demonstrations, and a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.
