Vipul Organics’ Subsidiary ADIMEM Acquires Membrane Manufacturing Platform from Denmark’s Aquaporin

Vipul Organics Ltd, a specialty chemicals company, on Tuesday said its membrane technology unit, ADIMEM Technologies, acquired an industrial membrane sheet manufacturing platform from Danish membrane technology company Aquaporin through a competitive bidding process.

The acquired platform will be relocated from Aquaporin's facility in Denmark to ADIMEM's manufacturing unit at Sayakha in Gujarat, the company said.

The acquisition covers membrane casting, coating and drying infrastructure, as well as related process-control and manufacturing systems. Aquaporin previously used the equipment for membrane development and production.

ADIMEM already operates across membrane R&D, product development, membrane element manufacturing, quality control, performance testing and application engineering.

The newly acquired infrastructure will enhance these capabilities by adding advanced casting and coating equipment, strengthening ADIMEM’s in-house manufacturing capacity for reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) membranes.

The expanded manufacturing platform will strengthen ADIMEM’s portfolio of membrane technologies, including reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF), microfiltration (MF) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems. These technologies serve a range of applications, including industrial water treatment, wastewater recycling, desalination and specialised process separation.
